Minimalistic website redesign for cloud storage
19 November 2024
GigaCloud is a leading Ukrainian cloud storage company. It provides the ability to store large amounts of data in the cloud. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, GigaCloud has expanded its focus to the European market and started offering its services to foreign customers.

Given the complexity of adapting to new market conditions, data security issues became critical for customers. It was important to demonstrate a new level of comfort provided by a cloud solution compared to physical-server solution. It requires significant resources to maintain data via minimalistic website.

Gradually, we conducted interviews with stakeholders, collecting information step by step to create a comprehensive picture of the needs of customers and the company itself.
As a result, the main insight for the consumer was peace of mind regarding the safety and security of data. So the choice fell on a visual concept that conveyed space and minimalism.

The main point was the symbolism of the cube, a transparent element that reflects simplicity and structure. In addition, each of the company’s products is presented as a separate cube. It is like different materials and structures, emphasizing the individuality of each GigaCloud solution.
The dawn and limitless space symbolized a new beginning for customers transitioning to a cloud solution. This shift helped eliminate numerous technical and security issues.
GigaCloud has successfully adapted its services for the European market. The team kept the key idea of simplicity and security in its communication. The website is also available in two versions, tailored for the Ukrainian and European markets.
This case study demonstrates how changing the approach to UX with minimalistic website and in-depth user analysis can provide a new level of customer interaction. Thanks to the concept, GigaCloud was able to convey the idea of reliability and security, which are crucial for modern companies in terms of data storage.
