“Small is mighty” or the creation of the Spark mascot

Think Silicon is an eternal revolutionary in the semiconductor technology world, which set out to create a strong and recognizable brand in the minds of its customers.

Challenge

To represent the “bland” theme of the semiconductor industry through a bright design. To create a beloved symbol that would emphasize the efficiency, human centricity, and energy intensity of the company’s products.

Process

Everyone knows that the most important things happen on the last charge of the battery. Thinking about people, Think Silicon has developed a technology that allows the device to operate on a low charge for a long time. 

The end user isn’t concerned with the underlying technology; what truly matters to them are the benefits they’ll experience. That’s why our goal was to shift the focus from technical features to comfort and a better user experience.

Inspired by nature, the team found a great metaphor – the firefly. This is how Spark was born. An energetic, fast and extremely efficient guy.

Spark’s body was designed to resemble a tennis ball, bursting with energy, while his wings were crafted from colored silicone plates used in semiconductors, leaving a glowing trail behind. The firefly shows its emotions through the position of its wings and sound vibrations. In general, Sparky is sincere in all his manifestations, and this is why he wins our affection)

Sparky is a real family man. He has a big family. Lots of fireflies = lots of devices -> a real giant ecosystem.

Firefly has found his true calling – to work with energy, so he buzzes around, digs into devices, flies around the office, and keeps his colleagues in good shape :) 

Result

Today, Spark adds new colors and emotions to the company, attracting the audience. Think Silicon now features the mascot across various platforms, showcasing it on branded merchandise and at every exhibition and conference.
